The Logical Olympiad

The Logical Olympiad is a competition organized by Mensa Česko based on logical tasks, the solution of which requires an independent and creative approach. What matters here is not learned knowledge, but the ability to think independently and make quick decisions. Logical Olympiad is a unique competition in its concept, because it is not a knowledge competition, but a competition that primarily develops the ability to think independently.

The Logical Olympiad was established in 2008. In 2024, 108 399 competitors from 3 729 schools,took part in the competition. For now, the competition was originally intended for children from preschool age to high school students. The competition is divided into several categories according to age and in the main categories A, B, C into several rounds.

In 2024, we are launching second grade for age category D, which is intended for adults, but not only for them. Anyone can participate, regardless of age, nationality or gender.

You can register from 01/11/2024 – 30/04/2025, the competition itself will take place from 1 – 10/06/2025. The registration fee for the competition is set at CZK 100 and will be used for the next editions of the Logical Olympiad. However, if you enjoy logic problems and you like to create them for those around you, your ticket to the competition can be one author's logic problem instead of the registration fee.

Age category D is planned as a one-round online competition. However, if the interest exceeds the expectations of the organizers and more than 10,000 competitors take part in the competition, an face-to-face final round will be held September 14, 2025.
